How to install Symantec Anti-Virus
The following guide is a step by step procedure on how to install the Symantec Antivirus program for our staff only PCs.
- The Symantec software can be found on the L: Drive, more specifically, L:\IT Dept\Software or found on the flash drive under the New Staff PC folder
Or
2. Open the Symantec folder
3. Launch the install software (setup application)
For staff, this may prompt you for an admin user name and password, use the following:
User Name: download
Password: Library4ever
Click next
Accept TOS and then click Next
Choose the Typical install method, and then click next
On the next screen, uncheck the following box, and then click next
Click install
Click finish
There will be some updates that run after installation is complete. You will then be asked to restart the pc, choose when to restart it. Typically restart should be done after the antivirus is installed as attempting to install further software may be impeded or unable to be done
